What is the Vienna City Marathon?
The Vienna City Marathon is an annual road marathon through the Austrian capital, held every spring since 1984. The course starts at the Reichsbrücke near the Danube and passes Vienna's landmarks — Prater, Ringstrasse, Schönbrunn — before finishing near the Burgtheater. Alongside the marathon there are half-marathon, relay, and shorter races, with over 40,000 participants across all events.
